1. Information We Collect
Account Information: We collect your email address for account creation, login, and password reset, and your password is used for authentication and is never stored in plain text.
Policy Document Data: When you scan or manually enter insurance policy information, we collect policy number, insured name, policy type, coverage amounts, effective and expiration dates, premium amount, deductible amount, carrier name, and policy document images for OCR and reference.
Camera Access: Camera access is requested only when you actively initiate a document scan. We do not access the camera in the background.
Usage Data: We collect minimal technical data such as session tokens and crash logs needed to operate the app securely.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, location data, contacts, advertising identifiers, health data, biometric data, browsing history, or data from other apps.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to provide core MPAI features, including account authentication, storing and displaying policy records, extracting data from scanned documents, generating policy review analysis, creating claim documentation, and enabling policy search.
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, sale to third parties, user profiling outside the app, or training AI models.
3. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure hosted in the United States on Amazon Web Services.
MPAI uses Row Level Security so each user's policy data remains isolated from other users and inaccessible through the application by unauthorized parties.
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are hashed, database connections enforce SSL, and policy images are stored behind secure access controls.
Authentication relies on JWT-based sessions that expire automatically and require re-authentication.
4. AI Processing of Policy Documents
When you scan a policy document, the photographed image is uploaded to your secure cloud storage account and sent to OpenAI's API (gpt-4o model) to extract text and identify policy fields.
The AI service returns structured policy data to MPAI, and the extracted fields are stored in your policy record.
The document image remains in your account. OpenAI processes submitted documents via API calls. OpenAI retains API request and response data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring before deletion. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models, per OpenAI's API data usage policy effective March 2023.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
Cloud infrastructure is used for database, authentication, and file storage.
OpenAI is used for AI-powered document extraction.
Expo / EAS is used for app build and distribution infrastructure.
MPAI does not use advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, analytics platforms, or data brokers.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Policy records and document images are retained until you delete them or close your account.
Account credentials are retained until account deletion. Session tokens auto-expire and are refreshed during active use.
You can delete individual policies inside the app, delete your account from Settings, or request deletion by emailing eric_leo_johnson@outlook.com. Deletion requests are confirmed within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
MPAI is intended for licensed professional insurance adjusters and is not designed for anyone under 18 years of age.
If we learn that we collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
8. Your Privacy Rights
You may request access to your data, correct policy information in the app, delete your data, request a CSV export, or withdraw consent by requesting account deletion.
To exercise these rights, contact eric_leo_johnson@outlook.com.
9. Apple Platform Disclosures
Does Not Use Tracking / IDFA: Mobile Policy Advisor Intelligence does NOT use tracking and does NOT request, access, or use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA). The App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt is not shown because no tracking occurs.
Collected data types include email address, policy document photos, user content, and internal user identifiers, all linked to identity and not used for tracking.
MPAI does not collect precise location, contacts, browsing history, advertising data, health or fitness data, or financial information.
MPAI does not track users across apps or websites, does not share data with data brokers, and does not integrate any advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
10. Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date and, when necessary, by notifying users inside the app or by email.
Continued use of MPAI after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
